Network Satellite is the name of a radio show, well known in Italy. It’s almost a cult among the historical fans of quality house music. The first edition of Satellite, originally called Italia Network Satellite, came to life on june 17th 1991 and was broadcasted by the most important dance radio station on this country, Radio Italia Network. It was created from a Mario Pinosa’s (Station Manager) idea and always conducted by Gianni de Luise that has developed and evolved the concept. Very soon Italia Network Satellite became a real underground cult program. On air every day, from 9 to 12 pm, this program was an incredible blend of music, moods, emotions and dreams with the most incredible mixing of classic house music, deep, underground and chill out tunes. In 1994 the name of the program was shortened in Network Satellite, but the music and the direction remains the same till january 12th 1996. The first edition of the program ended when the radio changed it’s location and moved from Udine to Bologna. After many years of absence and darkness during which the “essence” of the concept was preserved from oblivion and Gianni de Luise fought against serious health problems, Satellite resurfaced to life, exactly ten years after, on january 16th 2006. A new edition, updated and restyled, revived one more time, courtesy of Alex Benedetti, Station Manager, on RIN (Radio Italia Network) digital, not more airplayed on fm but by a web radio station. The radio show, in its new regeneration, using the the most advanced technologies recreate and propose to the new generations the original spirit and the alien vibrations of its roots. But, despite the excellent reception of the audience, after few months the RIN Digital experience ended by reason of the editorial choose of RCS (Rizzoli Corriere della Sera), brand owners. The radio show, full of energy in it’s new life, this time titled “Satellite by Gianni de Luise”, found almost immediately hospitality, starting from september 15th 2007 and courtesy of Daniele Petronelli, Station Manager, on the fm frequencies of Tamtam Network. The famous slogan “Satellite, a dream come true”, read by Bob Stewart, with his unmistakable and legendary voice, became, one more time, really true. 2 hours weekly, splitted in 4 parts, with an amazing mix among new deep house productions, electronic tracks and house classics that represent the roots of this music. A sonic bridge between the past, the present and the future. But also the Tamtam Network experience, in spite of the extraordinary appreciation of the listeners, and always by reason of the editorial choose, ended few months later, in may 2008. In the meantime, a special version of the radio show, especially produced by Gianni de Luise, was hosted for some months, during 2008, by an Fm radio station of Reggio Calabria, RC International. From january 6th 2009, the radio show, with its original title “Network Satellite” is back home again. Is, absolutely, forming part integral and hinge, obviously always under the management of Gianni de Luise, of the project Italianetwork – InMyRadio.net, created together with two historical names of Italia Network, Michael Hammer and Ezio Vallini. Scheduled more times a day, always light years forward-looking, in spite of the years spent, Network Satellite represents one more time a fresh example and a guiding light for those who love quality house music! This program it’s something you need to listen to, cause it’s really hard to describe with few words. On september 28th 2010 there is a further evolution of the InMyradio project, with the creation of singles musical channels for each program, obviously running 24 hours on 24, 7 days on 7. From now on, with a complete revolution of the traditional concept of radio, it became possible to listen to the music of the favorite radio shows without having to wait a specific time. On the night between the 31st of january and the first of february 2011, at exactly 0.00 am, another big moment for the history of this radio show. Network Satellite is airplayed on España Network frequencies, but also via webradio, from sunday to thursday from 0.00 to 2.00 am. From december 3rd 2011 the radio show is scheduled From Monday to Friday at 00.00 till 01.00 am and on Sunday from 10.00 to 11.00 pm. The simultaneous presence of this radio show on InMyRadio and on España Network is very significant because, after many years of exile and darkness, the two souls which, while operating in different media, work for the same purpose and recognize the historical Italia Network as its origin and its parent, rejoins this way.

Network Satellite e’il nome di uno show radiofonico molto conosciuto in Italia. E’quasi un programma culto tra gli storici appassionati di musica house di qualita’. La prima edizione di Satellite, originariamente chiamata Italia Network Satellite, debuttò il 17 giugno 1991 e venne trasmessa dalla più importante stazione radio dance della nazione, Radio Italia Network. Fu creato da un’idea di Mario Pinosa, Station Manager, e venne sempre condotto da Gianni de Luise, che ne sviluppò il concetto e la sua evoluzione. Molto presto Italia Network Satellite divenne un programma di culto underground. In onda ogni giorno, dalle 21 alle 24, questo programma era un incredibile miscuglio di musica, stati d’animo, emozioni e sogni con il più incredibile assemblaggio di tracce di house classica, deep, underground e chill out. Nel 1994 il nome del programma venne accorciato in Network Satellite, ma la musica e la guida rimasero le stesse fino al 12 gennaio 1996. La prima edizione del programma terminò quando la radio cambiò sede trasferendosi da Udine a Bologna. Dopo diversi anni di assenza ed oscurità durante i quali l'”essenza” del concetto venne preservata dall’oblio e Gianni de Luise combattè contro gravi problemi di salute, Satellite ritornò in vita, dopo esattamente dieci anni, il 16 gennaio 2006. Una nuova edizione, aggiornata e rivisitata, tornò nuovamente in vita, per merito di Alex Benedetti, Station Manager, su RIN (Radio Italia Network) Digital, non più trasmessa in Fm ma attraverso la webradio. Il programma, in questa sua rigenerazione, usando le più avanzate tecnologie, ricreava e proponeva alle nuove generazioni lo spirito originale e le vibrazioni aliene delle sue origini. Tuttavia, malgrado l’eccellente riscontro del pubblico, dopo pochi mesi, l’esperienza di RIN Digital terminò a causa delle scelte editoriali di RCS (Rizzoli Corriere della Sera), proprietari del marchio. Il programma, pieno di energia nella sua nuova vita, questa volta intitolato “Satellite by Gianni de Luise” trovo’ quasi subito ospitalita’, a partire dal 15 settembre 2007, per merito di Daniele Petronelli, Station Manager, sulle frequenze Fm di Tamtam Network. Il famoso slogan “Satellite, un sogno che diventa realtà”, letto da Bob Stewart con la sua la sua voce inconfondibile e leggendaria, diventava , una volta ancora, reale. Si trattava di 2 ore settimanali , divise in 4 parti, con uno stupefacente miscuglio tra brani nuovi house deep, tracce elettroniche e classici della house che rappresentavano le radici di questa musica. Un ponte sonoro tra il passato, il presente ed il futuro. Tuttavia anche l’esperienza su Tamtam Network, malgrado lo straordinario apprezzamento degli ascoltatori, e sempre per ragioni legate a scelte della proprieta’, terminava pochi mesi dopo, nel maggio 2008. Nel frattempo, una versione espressamente prodotta da Gianni de Luise venne ospitata per alcuni mesi, durante il 2008, da una emittente Fm di Reggio Calabria, RC International. Dal 6 gennaio 2009 il programma, con il suo nome originale Network Satellite e’ tornato “a casa”. Infatti fa parte integrante e cardine, sempre sotto la guida di Gianni de Luise, del progetto Italianetwork – InMyRadio.net, messo in cantiere assieme a due nomi storici della “vecchia” Italia Network, Michael Hammer ed Ezio Vallini. In onda piu’ volte al giorno, sempre avanti anni luce come scelte musicali, malgrado gli anni trascorsi, Network Satellite rappresenta ancora un fresco esempio ed una guida luminosa per chi ama la musica house di qualità. Questo programma è qualcosa che bisogna ascoltare perchè è difficile da descrivere a parole. Dal 28 settembre 2010 c’è stata una ulteriore evoluzione del progetto InMyRadio con la creazione di singoli canali musicali per ciascun programma, naturalmente attivi 24 ore su 24, 7 giorni su 7. Da quel momento, con una completa rivoluzione del concetto tradizionale di radio,è diventato possibile ascoltare la musica dello spettacolo radiofonico preferito senza il bisogno di aspettare un’orario specifico. Nella notte tra il 31 gennaio ed il 1° febbraio 2011, esattamente alla mezzanotte, un’altro straordinario momento nella vita di Network Satellite. Attraverso le frequenze in Fm di España Network, ma anche via webradio, il programma viene trasmesso dalla domenica al giovedì dalla mezzanotte alle 2 del mattino. Dal 3 dicembre 2011 l’orario della messa in onda cambia e lo show radiofonico viene programmato dal lunedì al venerdì dalla mezzanotte all’1 e la domenica dalle 22 alle 23. La simultanea presenza di questo spettacolo radiofonico sia su InMyRadio che su España Network ha un grande significato perchè, dopo molti anni di esilio ed oscurità, le due anime che, pur operando su piattaforme media differenti, lavorano per lo stesso obiettivo e riconoscono la storica Italia Network come genitore ed origine, si riuniscono. La frattura è ricomposta e network Satellite è di nuovo a casa “provatelo…non potrete più farne a meno”..
